Undergraduate and Five-Year Integrated Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Programs

Our 4-year undergraduate degrees and our 5-year integrated bachelor’s and master’s degree programs are designed for first-time college students and for transfer students who have not yet earned a bachelor’s degree.  All of our undergraduate students have dual majors and two advisors.  The undergraduate course of study combines a major in a specialized area of education with a major in a school core content area.  This prepares students to become highly qualified teachers who meet the rigorous standards set by the State of New Jersey, the Federal government, and by most other states.

Students may major in the following teacher preparation areas.

  • Early Childhood Education (four-year bachelor’s degree program)
  • Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (five-year integrated bachelor’s and master’s degrees program)
  • Elementary Education (four-year bachelor’s degree program)
  • Secondary Education(four-year bachelor’s degree program)
  • Special Education (five-year integrated bachelor’s and master’s degrees program)
  • Urban Education (five-year integrated bachelor’s and master’s degrees program)
