The College of New Jersey presently holds accreditation through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). NCATE is now the CAEP. Effective July 1, 2013, NCATE and TAEC have been consolidated into CAEP as the new accrediting body for teacher education. CAEP advances excellence in educator preparation through evidence-based accreditation that assures quality and supports continuous improvement to strengthen P-12 student learning.
The College of New Jersey School of Education is a member in good standing of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). The School of Education is working toward accreditation of its educator preparation programs under the AAQEP standards with an anticipated Quality Assurance Review in Spring 2023.
