Rachel Dawson (Office of Support for Teacher Education Programs/STEP, Performance Assessment and Placement Coordinator) has been named a recipient of an Under 40 award from the American Association for Women in Community Colleges. AAWCC launched its Under 40 awards program in 2016 at the AAWCC Annual Awards Breakfast. The award recognizes outstanding female leaders under the age of 40 working at a community college.
Dean McCotter praised Ms. Dawson, saying, “This prestigious award was given to Ms. Dawson for the work she did at a previous institution, but it captures the qualities that we saw when we hired her. She is innovative, student-focused, and takes initiative.”
