Inclusive Education — Teacher Preparation Programs

TCNJ offers an innovative 4-year baccalaureate degree designed to prepare educators to teach diverse learners in elementary or early childhood settings. Students can take graduate-level courses that may lead to endorsements or a Master’s degree.

Degree Options

  • Bachelor of Science in Inclusive Education
  • Endorsements and Master’s Programs:
    • Inclusive Early Childhood Education (students eligible for P-3 and K-6 certifications)
    • Inclusive Elementary Education (students eligible for K-6 certification)
    • Special Education (P-3, K-6, 7-12)
    • Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (K-6)
    • English as a Second Language (ESL)

Program Highlights

  • Students at TCNJ have at least 4–5 semesters of field practicum experiences, including student teaching.
  • Students in teacher preparation programs are dual majors and must select a state-approved content area.
