TCNJ Secondary Education/English and M.Ed. in Instruction alumna Elizabeth Hults Elko was featured on NJTV’s “Classroom Close-up” segment with Dr. Alan Amtzis (Director of the TCNJ/Regional Training Center M.Ed. in Instruction program). The segment, entitled “Reach Before You Teach”, provides a profile of Ms. Elko’s classroom culture, developing teacher-student relationships, and her framework for and approach to teaching. Ms. Elko teaches English Language Arts at Barnegat High School, has served as an adjunct for TCNJ, and recently published her first Young Adult novel (How the Public School System STOLE Petey Guzman’s Life).
